How far apart are we?
We are warmed by the same sun,
And we are watered by the same rain.

How near can we be to one another?
If we stare into the heavens . . .
We can wish on the same stars,
and we see the same moon.

How much distance can they put between us?
We breath the same sweet air,
And we dream under the same sky.

How close are we if they pull us apart?
We may not smell the same flower
or be shaded by the same tree.
But we still watch the same sun set
& light up the sky.
