Our mortality
Stares me in the face.
As I watch the procession,
Far in the distance,
I imagine myself
Standing in the crowd.
As I look upon your fallen grace
And shed a tear for every memory.
What will I do if that time comes?
To whom will I turn then?
All the love you gave, all the life
Gone from the sight of the world.
But it, and you will live on
Enshrined in my heart and memories forever.
