You set a fire ablaze within
One thought dead and gone
Buried in the ashes
Of a once fiery spirit,
Awakening dormant desires
To gallop freely
Through the open ranges
Of reckless passions
In a wild heart thought tamed
From breaking time and again.

Torn now it is

Between the seductive callings

Of the wild country

Know by the senses

But yet unexplored

Needing desperately to answer

Its urgent messages

But not wanting to leave behind

The safety of the pasture

That once was a playground

Then became a protecting home

Providing shelter, food and nurturing

For this unbridled creature

Though it threatens to trap and control
